Top four luxury gyms in London
There are plenty of high-end gyms to choose from in the British capital – these four are our absolute favourites. If you're planning to join a luxury gym, or looking for a great place to workout when you're next in town, here's where to head:

1. Equinox – Kensington

You'll find this American gym's flagship London branch in Kensington High Street's Art Deco Derry & Tom's building. Cameron Diaz and Barack Obama's gym of choice, Equinox offers high-intensity group fitness classes, personal training par excellence and some seriously high-tech equipment. Cool off with chilled eucalyptus towels and clean up with complimentary Kiehl's toiletries.

Price: £200 per month. The £400 joining fee gets you access to every Equinox club in the world.

2. The Library – Notting Hill and Wimpole Street

With one branch inside a former synagogue and another inside The Clock, The Library is a private members club with a strong focus on tailored nutrition. This innovative gym specialises in high-intensity interval training and offers classes including barre and yoga. It's a four-time Tatler Gym of the Year award winner and has taken home three London Lifestyle awards to boot. We love the steampunk-inspired exercise machines.

Price: £395 a month for a 12-month contract.

3. WORKSHOP – Bulgari Hotel, Knightsbridge

WORKSHOP was founded by personal trainer Lee Mullins and took first place for First Class Futuristic Fitness in 2015’s Tatler Spa Guide. After an intense workout class, refresh with some complimentary alkaline water, seasonal fruit, or a trip to the gorgeous spa. Banish jet lag with the Time Zone Hopping treatment – along with our Restore Me supplement, it'll have you feeling right as rain.

Price: Fees start at £416 per month.

4. 1Rebel – Broadgate and St Mary Axe

This industrial chic gym offers 30-45 minute classes, accompanied by live bands or expertly curated Spotify playlists. Classes include RIDE (spinning), RUMBLE (high-intensity interval training) and RESHAPE (toning). There's free prosecco on Fridays and an express blow dry bar so you can "leave looking better than when you walked in".

Pricing: Payment is per session, starting at £20 for one session and £400 for a bundle of 25.
